Building a road map for learning

This week the class learned the word 'assessment' through a word game that provided a picture as a clue, and we had to use the letters to spell the word. Assessment is reflecting about where you are in your learning journey. Using the idea of a traffic light, each student now has their own 'learning cups' consisting of colored cups. Red means 'I am stuck and I need help", yellow denotes that, "I think I understand but I am not sure'", and green signals that your understanding is "good to go".

We applied this idea throughout the week and it helped us build a road map for our learning. One's understanding is dynamic and can change. We all help each other to learn.
