BOPDs analyzed different kinds of food that was brought to our classroom. Armed with magnifying glasses, they searched for information about the food through the food item itself, and also as seen on its packaging. One of the things we noticed was the nutrition label which gives the person an idea what is contained in the food. We then ventured into estimating the ingredients in the food choices of our classmates by making our version of nutrition labels. To finish, we explained our labels and pinpointed one food choice that was nutritious.

What's for Snack?
We know that nutrition is part of physical wellbeing but we are not yet sure how. We have some ideas that come from what we know and what we have read. This week we started noticing our snacks. Next week, we will dig deeper to find out how what we eat affects our bodies. Someone suggested that we all eat fruit for snack, for a week.
