A fun thing we did this week was read a poem with Ms Kim during Readers' Choices. Ms Montilla extended that learning by sharing a photo to the class and asking students to create short verbal poems to describe what they think is going on in the picture. After a while, students started making up stories as well and this helped us think about who we are as authors and how stories can be different.
