One of the assessment tools that we use is something that we named, "Two Dogs and a Target". The two dogs symbolize something we understand, or something we are successful in doing as the BOPDs. The target symbolizes our next step. It can be something that's still confusing to us, or something we need to aim for improvement.
In this sample, the student acknowledged how he took risks for his learning, and his target to strengthen that skill.
