Partner Share

After BOPDs created a class shelf of books that they have read, they chose one and shared its highlights with a partner. They retold and recounted the story as they remembered it and shared the reactions that they had while reading.

The thrill of sharing a book is lived out at partner share. We have time to read on our own and then we pair up and share everything that the book means to us. 

How do books come alive for you?

 Ms Montilla brought an object related to a popular story in our class. It got us thinking about how books come alive. We searched for parts in stories that come alive for us and shared it with friends. One said it only comes alive after a few pages, and another said books create an immediate picture in their heads.
