BOPDs share their learning in Third Grade.

The Process of Preparing

BOPDs began the process of preparing for Student Led Conferences by reflecting about their learning. Using a survey of eight questions, they pondered about different aspects that composed their

identity as learners. Answering the survey helped them pinpoint the aspects that are important to them. They transferred these learning points on an organizer we call, "SLC Pie" that denotes how each part is equal in building their identity. The next step was to put post-its all over the classroom to signify the evidence that will prove their learning point.

Equal Parts of a Learner's Identity

Using the idea of equal parts, BOPDs are using an organizer for Student Led Conferences that depicts the equal parts of their identity as learners. For example, their success is equally important as their growth. BOPDs also used signs and symbols to denote their points of learning on the SLC Pie. This will serve as their outline for the conferences. They acknowledge that these are equal parts but may not take equal amounts of time to be explained.
