The Art of Asking

Playful Pets are always thinking about questions! We started our year by asking a question about Third Grade and we enjoy the game called, "Questions Galore'. Mr Steve invited our class to compose questions for the Bearcat. Using those questions, we sorted them into groups based on their nature. The class decided to categorize them as 'open or closed'. 'Open' questions open up conversations, while 'closed' questions have a yes or no reply, or a correct answer. Later in the week we applied this idea when we thought about our unit on Physical Wellbeing. Using a thinking routine called, "Questions Sorts', we organized our questions into generative or not generative, and genuine or not genuine. We will focus on the questions that allow us to dig deeper and that we care to find out!
