Squares to Stairs

Math is visual! Playful Pets quite enjoyed our lesson entitled,'Squares to Stairs". They were given a pattern and they needed to show how it was growing. Using math toys and their journals, they thought about problem and documented their thinking. They also worked in groups when they were challenged to use 190 pieces to depict the growth of the pattern.
