In our class we bring books and birthdays together to celebrate birthdays. We started this tradition this week when we listened to a Korean Folk Tale about a red bean porridge. It was a wonderful experience of getting to know our friend's family and culture while celebrating his birthday. When the story ended, we applauded our storytellers and sang, 'Happy Birthday" for our friend in different ways! We look forward to sharing this tradition with everyone in our class.
