BOPDs used our learning cups to show our understanding about our lesson on nouns, verbs and adjectives. Students were asked to group themselves based on their understanding. There were two groups. One group claimed to be green lighters, and the other said they had a blazing orange level. The greenlighters challenged the other group to prove their choice. Students spoke about the importance of giving true assessments. They further illustrated that when you say you understand something but it's not true, you're not being fair to your parents and you won't be able to determine what your real next step will be. We continued the exercise and other students proved their blazing orange level by using a ray on our understanding map.
