Claim Support Question

We played a game focusing on creating even three-digit numbers by rolling die. Using a thinking routine called, 'Claim Support Question", we got into a discussion about the different patterns that we noticed.
We acknowledged claims from everyone and clarified that they did not have to be right or wrong, but they need to be supported. The class chose one particular claim and proved it was not accurate. Due to this, a clarifying comment from a classmate about the even numbers that were rolled led us to another discussion and a chance to find out more about the way  numbers work.
